So, yes, it’s winter time, which means it’s freezing cold outside. Well, it is here in Maine anyway. But, that doesn’t mean that you can’t wear dresses still. With Christmas and New Year’s Eve right around the corner, why not dress up a little to celebrate the holidays? If you’re looking for a great dress to wear for that special occasion, look no further than your local Old Navy store!
Once again, I was lucky enough to be chosen for another Old Navy shopping spree through my Crowdtap membership. This was my SIXTH Old Navy shopping trip! I have been so blessed to be chosen for all of these, and each one has just been incredibly fun. I received two coupons – one for me, and one for a friend, to each get a FREE dress of our choice!
As usual, my sister Angela tagged along with me this time to pick out a dress. Amber didn’t want to come, as she doesn’t wear dresses very often. Angela practically lives in them though, so she was over the moon to come with me! Our friend Danielle also came, because she loves dresses too!
When we got to Old Navy, we scanned the store for the dresses, and found a few racks. All of the dresses were very retro looking, but really cute! I love when they bring back those old styles and update them a little bit. Angela was right in heaven, as she is into all things 60′s & 70′s.
I just love the look of this jean jacket paired with the black and white striped dress.
There were some very bright colors!
I ponder it for a moment, but I’m just not daring enough for red! Notice the black under my arm??
Again, I am drawn to the look of denim over the dress, but the color is still too bright for me!
Angela isn’t scared away by the bright colors though, and that’s a good thing because she can totally pull them off!
Danielle takes a look at this pink dress.
While I look at MORE black dresses!
John caught me with a red dress in my hand. I was just holding onto it for Angela though!
This is John, the love of my life, by the way. How’d I get so lucky to find a guy who will put up with all of us ladies and take pictures for us on all of these Old Navy shopping trips?? He never complains, and is always happy to help me out! I found this self-portrait in with all the Old Navy pictures he took. He also makes me laugh quite often!
As always, we had a blast shopping together! Notice those funky & colorful dresses Angela’s looking at??
I’m still browsing around, but I’m just not sure about those bright colors. If I wasn’t four months pregnant, I might be a bit more daring, but right now I’m trying to distract people from looking at my belly! ;)
Danielle grabs a red dress too. She’s not afraid of bright colors either!
We grabbed a bunch of dresses, and walked around the store some more to see if we could find any other ones, and we did! There was another display of dresses, that were a bit dressier and more modern than the other ones we had found. These were definitely more my style.

We had a great time looking at these dresses. They were gorgeous! I love the belt around the waist. It’s a very flattering look.
Just wait until you see Angela in this bright orange dress. She looks HOT! I sure wish I could pull off orange!
They check out the wall of adorable shoes! Old Navy is so smart to put these right above the dresses. What girl doesn’t love to mix and match shoes, and with all the choices, the combinations are endless!
Look, there’s me picking out ANOTHER black dress!
Black & white stripes maybe?
We headed on over to the dressing rooms to try on our choices. By this time, I was feeling pretty sluggish. Pregnancy will do that to you pretty quickly. Sadly, I didn’t really try on as many as I would have liked to, but I found one I liked pretty quickly anyway.
I tried on this sweater dress. While very comfortable, it was just not at all flattering on me. Can you say baby bump?!
Next, I tried on this cute black dress with a bright pink belt.
Danielle had the same idea! We both stepped out of our dressing room at the same time, wearing the same dress! Danielle ended up buying this one!
Angela tried on this beautiful black dress.
We posed for a group shot.
I tried on that black dress next, and that’s the one I ended up getting!
Danielle looked so cute in this red dress.
Angela tried on the green version! She was born on St. Patty’s Day, so green is her color!
Danielle looks great in purple!
And I really love the black and grey striped dress on her!
But, I think she is just stunning in this green dress!
Angela tried on one of the bright, funky patterns. I swear this girl can pull off ANYTHING!
Then she tried on that stunning green dress too, and totally rocked it!
She fell right in love with this dress, and spent at least 20 minutes deciding whether or not she wanted this one, or…. this gorgeous orange one! She was absolutely breathtaking in this orange dress. She had such a hard time making up her mind. She consulted Danielle and I, the Old Navy sales people, and she even texted pictures of herself in both dresses to our Mom to get her opinion!
After A LOT of consideration, she finally decided to buy the orange one! She really liked that the green one had long sleeves, and that she could have worn it on St. Patty’s Day, but this orange one, is really going to turn heads, and she just looks awesome in it!
We grabbed our dresses, and headed to the checkout!
